SuperMimic code still unreleased 3 days on, already derivative reimplementations: just ship code
carlosdponx · x · 2026-10-25
Quoting Kyle Morgenstein: robotics research project SuperMimic came out 3 days ago with no code release, yet derivative works with full code already exist — a sign of how brutal the research pace has become and the constant pressure to move faster.
carlosdponx adds: announcing "Code (coming soon)" is now silly — just release it. Ugly code is fine since the main readers are agents, not humans. Holding code back risks others re-implementing your work badly and burying its real value.
