Open-source browser rhythm game runs 4 local neural nets to build levels from your music
MrFelliks · reddit · 2026-10-25
Developer Felliks open-sourced Struna, a browser rhythm runner where your song builds the world—everything runs locally via onnxruntime-web, nothing uploaded. Four small models (22MB total, each in its own web worker): BeatNet (1.6MB) for beat/downbeat tracking places obstacles on the beat grid; Spotify's Basic Pitch (0.2MB) turns notes into bars and pitch-aligned rings; a Spleeter vocals net (20MB) separates vocals; SwiftF0 (0.1MB) tracks pitch every 16ms so verses follow the singer's melody. Regular DSP on top picks worlds and drops, same song always yields the same level, with a DSP fallback for weak devices. MIT-licensed, playable on mobile, code largely written with Claude Code.
