AI safety researcher to investigate sexual harassment in the field amid weak institutional response
AndyMasley · x · 2026-10-25
Frances Lorenz announced plans to write a detailed report investigating sexual harassment and sexism in the AI safety community, aiming to cite as many concrete examples as possible for discussions with org leaders, possibly followed by a public post.
Andy Masley voiced support but lamented that institutional reactions and changes have been so limited that Lorenz has to do this herself — a reflection of the field's lagging governance culture.
