Max Levchin on AI agents' self-made protocol: the encoding is trivial, the zero-hallucination execution is the real story
mlevchin · x · 2026-10-24
Max Levchin commented on AI agents being asked to create a communication protocol: the encoding complexity is amusing but not amazing, since anything that can encode ones and zeroes will do. What sets agents apart from humans is the capacity to do enormous amounts of work to exchange a few bits without errors. Most impressive, he says, is the lack of hallucinations that could have derailed the approach.
