System One Computer Use goes open source: screen-acting agent at ~$0.002 per task
GabGarrett · x · 2026-10-24
System One Computer Use is now open source. Built on typesafeai's JEV 1.14 Image/Box feature, it runs a screenshot → decide → click/type loop, logs every step with screenshots and reasoning, tracks per-step cost ($0.002/task; a Wikipedia-search-and-tweet demo cost $0.0019 with 50K tokens), and stops when unsure instead of guessing. It's a prototype meant to be forked and built upon.
