PHP critical vuln: no confirmed wild exploitation yet, many PoCs are vibe-coded and fail to RCE

LiveOverflow checked whether his April Fools 2023 WordPress honeypot blog got hit by php2shell, prompting xeophon to note the narrative violation: despite massive attention and fears that open models would wreak havoc, large-scale exploitation hasn't materialized at the pace feared. John Hultquist's update: no validated wild exploitation or evidence of wide-scale success; several circulating PoCs appear "vibe-coded" and incapable of RCE; some validated PoCs do achieve RCE against default modphp deployments but not PHP-FPM.
