If AI is 20% of your process, 100x-ing it only yields 25% overall gains

Rob Leclerc offers a simple arithmetic for AI business value: AI only speeds up the part of the process where AI operates. If AI represents 20% of the process and you 100x that part, you've made only a 25% improvement overall. If customers aren't using AI, the rest of the business can't, or you're stuck with regulatory waits and committee meetings, gains stay minimal — so the fastest-growing companies will be purely AI-driven, with customers and counterparties largely AI-driven too.
