Threadlocked: APAC young hackers collective treating computing as a craft
SuB8u · x · 2026-10-24
Threadlocked, a small collective of young researchers and hackers across India and APAC, introduces itself with a manifesto against mistaking salary packages and credentials for computer science, and is recruiting people who treat computing as a craft. Their blogroll shows serious projects: a ray tracer in Brainfuck, a language compiling to Scratch, Doom on a hand-written Rust OS, pretraining a 1B Kimi K3 model on one H100 for three weeks, a 2KB 1200 Elo chess engine, reverse-engineering Jane Street's ASIC, and evolutionary optimization in LLVM.
