Daniel Lemire highlights the Artificial Analysis Intelligence Index (v4.3.2): Moonshot's new open-weight Kimi K3.1 Pro scores 55, just behind Claude Opus 5.5 (58), Claude Sonnet 5.5 (56) and Meta's Muse Wonder Full (56), ahead of GPT-6 Astra and Gemini 4 Argon (both 53) — at $2.11 per task vs $5.98 for Opus 5.5.
He also notes xAI's Grok 4.7 (46) has fallen behind the frontier. The headline: an open-weights model matching closed flagships at roughly a third of the cost.
