UK Sovereign AI gets extra £120m to back physical AI and government procurement

UK Sovereign AI announced an additional £120m: £60m to invest in promising British AI companies, expanding into physical and industrial AI, and £60m for R&D procurement in areas like AI security and healthcare. Operator SovAI says that in its first six months it has backed a dozen+ British AI companies and built a procurement scheme with over 100 companies, aiming to make government a better customer for startups.
