Cloning Your Boss: Distilling a Year of Slack Into an AI Persona File
every · x · 2026-10-24
Every's Mike Taylor used the open-source SynthTeam library to distill a year of his boss's Slack messages into a natalia.md persona file: Codex pulled messages from public channels, he reverse-engineered her decision patterns, then had AI simulate whether she'd approve a client email — she called it her favorite call of the day. He also cloned a GitHub exec and his CEO. Key finding: the clones know every rule real people follow but never when to break one, capturing judgment rules without real judgment.
