antirez pairs Claude /remote-control with tmux for seamless local and remote coding
antirez · x · 2026-10-24
Redis creator antirez shares his workflow: open a Claude session with /remote-control, have it spawn a tmux running Astra to do the work, report periodically, and relay his messages as a proxy — so he works in the same tmux at the desk and controls it remotely otherwise. He calls /remote-control a key reason to prefer Claude CLI over Codex CLI, and questions why OpenAI hasn't added it despite many open issues, since it doesn't look hard to build.
