Claude Code engineer leaves Anthropic after over a year building the hit coding tool

Engineer @trq212 has announced his departure from Anthropic after more than a year working on Claude Code, which he says scaled far beyond what he ever imagined. In his farewell note, he expressed deep love for the company, its mission, and the 'race to the top' philosophy — the idea that working hard and responsibly raises the bar for everyone. Peers praised his contributions.
