Claude Code's Thariq Shihipar announces departure from Anthropic after a year

Thariq Shihipar, a well-known figure in Anthropic's developer ecosystem, has left the company after more than a year working on Claude Code, which he says scaled beyond anything he imagined.
He reaffirmed his belief in Anthropic's mission and the "race to the top" idea — that working hard and responsibly can raise the bar for the whole industry. Colleague Lydia Hallie bid him farewell and joked about looking forward to his future Claude Code feedback.
