Thariq, a key Claude Code developer, announces departure from Anthropic

Thariq (@trq212) announced he has left Anthropic after more than a year working on Claude Code and seeing it scale larger than he ever imagined.
He said he loved his time at Anthropic and believes deeply in its mission, especially the idea of a "race to the top" — working hard and responsibly to raise the bar and inspire better outcomes. Colleague Zach Mueller congratulated him and said he's excited to see what's next.
