Anthropic uses Claude to formally verify security of 100+ open-source libraries
burny_tech · x · 2026-10-24
Anthropic's Frontier Red Team blog, in collaboration with Theorem Labs, used Claude to formally prove security properties across over one hundred real-world open-source libraries in a few weeks. Formal verification can prove code is free of certain bug classes but was historically feasible only for small codebases or with heavy expert effort — AI models are changing that. Commenters note formal verification of code is isomorphic to formal verification of math.
