Sardine launches AI token fraud suite as stolen compute becomes the new target
astrange · x · 2026-10-24
Fraud-prevention company Sardine has launched a product suite targeting "AI token fraud," arguing AI tokens are the new gold bar that fraudsters and nation-states steal and launder to distill their own models.
The suite covers:
- KYB/KYC checks to block shell companies set up to onboard and distill frontier models;
- Signup fraud protection so platforms can offer free trials and token credits without draining them;
- Account takeover defense protecting API keys from theft.
It extends Sardine's bank-grade identity, device-signal and behavioral-biometrics technology, already used by fintechs and crypto firms, to AI platforms' signups, payments and logins.
