kimo: an open-source no-GUI video editor that coding agents drive over MCP
LieTop7965 · reddit · 2026-10-24
A college student released kimo, a free MIT-licensed video editor with no GUI that agents (Codex, Cursor, OpenCode, any MCP client) drive over MCP: cut, trim, keyframes, titles/captions, color grading, audio, and export — and the agent can render a frame to check its own work.
- Ships as a 15 MB CPU-only Rust binary that runs on a 2 GB box
