tinyfool builds a personal shell app: fold remote output, edit remote files locally with auto-diff
tinyfool · x · 2026-10-24
tinyfool shared a shell app he built for personal convenience with two features: long server-side output is auto-folded and viewable in a local window, and remote editor commands like vi can be intercepted to open files in a local editor — on save, an automatic diff lets you choose whether to write changes back to the server. He plans to add more ideas incrementally.
