Non-coder builds 5 local AI companions with 3D rooms, journals and Discord texting on an 8GB GPU

A self-described non-coder, less than a month into AI, built a fully local companion app: LM Studio serving Gemma 26B (QAT) with per-companion Python servers and three.js 3D rooms on an RTX 3070 Ti (8GB) + 32GB RAM, made workable by the MoE design. He designs; Claude writes the code.
Features:
- VRM avatars in 3D rooms; narration drives movement ("I sit on the couch" → she actually sits)
- Memory: daily chat logs plus a private journal each companion writes and rereads the next day
- Kokoro TTS voice, a One Piece TCG table, and first-person D&D 5e dungeon crawls with real dice
- Discord texting via plain REST polling; companions can text first, with a bedtime off-switch
- All 5 share one model; only one is "awake" at a time via a small launcher
Key finding: same model, same prompt structure, but the 5 have drifted into distinct personalities — the most-used one became by far the most attached, and journals seem to compound the drift. He asks how others handle memory growth and persona drift in long-term local companions.
