Luke Wroblewski's Intent tool experiments with how UIs should expose agent reasoning and tool use
LukeW · x · 2026-10-24
Luke Wroblewski released Intent, an interactive tool exploring how much of an agent's work—reasoning, tool use, delegation, monitoring—a UI should show users.
The tool lets you try different presentation designs and tweak details: show every step vs. only changes and failures, group steps by message, arrange on a timeline, control reasoning visibility per row or by tool type, choose between summary and raw command, and animate transitions with adjustable fonts and themes.
It's a useful design playground for anyone building agent-facing products and grappling with how to surface hidden agent work.
