Musk says no GB300s or even H100s to rent; analyst calls China chip export policy absurd

CSET's Gregory C. Allen cites Elon Musk's latest earnings-call complaint that SpaceX/xAI cannot find additional AI compute to rent — not just NVIDIA GB300s, but not even H100s. Allen argues that a total AI chip export ban on China wouldn't cost NVIDIA a penny given this scarcity, making the current policy of selling H200s to China instead of American companies, in his words, absurd.
