cbd: run only tests affected by your changes, cutting 45-minute suites to under a minute
SpikedPunchVictim · reddit · 2026-10-24
A developer open-sourced cbd, a tool that maps call paths for all your tests and runs only those whose paths touch changed code. One 45-minute suite now finishes some changes in under a minute. It integrates with popular test frameworks — for vitest, add the setup file and run pnpm exec cbd collect -- pnpm vitest run — and supports custom frameworks and service-level call mapping for integration tests. A timely fix as AI-generated code makes test suites slower.
