Agent-spawned git process hits 1,000,000% CPU after running for two days
NERDDISCO · x · 2026-10-24
X user NERDDISCO shared an agent mishap: a "show me the worktrees" command made every server start run git status across all /dev/kale repos on his machine, and every test server his agents spun up did the same. Two of those processes never died, running for two days and melting the CPU. The Activity Monitor screenshot shows git at 1,000,000% CPU with over 52 hours of CPU time.
