Team builds offline sandbox world for frontier models and has AI red teams hunt its zero-days
soldni · x · 2026-10-24
To prevent frontier models from causing another HuggingFace-style incident, the team built an offline world used during training, where everything models need is fully cached, indexed, or synthetic. On top of that containment infrastructure, they assembled a large team of their most cyber-capable models and told them to collaborate on finding zero-day vulnerabilities. The post thanks Eric Wallace and Kai Cathy for the detailed report; this offline-sandbox-plus-AI-red-team setup is itself a notable frontier safety practice.
