Jack Dorsey's Blocks debuts Dessa, an AI model trained from scratch on speech only

Blocks, the company founded by Jack Dorsey, has unveiled Dessa, a new AI model trained entirely from scratch on nothing but speech data.
The team argues speech is the natural interface for technology and built Dessa around that premise. They are also inviting AI safety researchers to explore and test the model.
