Gladstone AI cofounder: cyber damage is baked in, halt frontier AI now
birchlse · x · 2026-10-24
In a shared post, Jeremie Harris argues that AI-driven cyber harm is already "baked in" and much damage will be done, but it's not too late to stop the bio and RSI (recursive self-improvement) risks.
His proposed way to stop them: halting frontier AI development entirely. He admits this would be hugely costly, but claims the cost of continuing will be greater — something he says will become obvious "over the next year or so." A stark entry in the doom-vs-acceleration debate.
