AWS engineer's AGNTCon keynote: catch distributed-systems bugs in agent-written code at compile time with Rust

ShadajL · x · 2026-10-24

Shadaj Laddad of AWS gave a keynote at AGNTCon + MCPCon NA titled "Predictable Correctness for Unpredictable Code." The idea: when agents write most of the code, correctness can't rely on after-the-fact testing. Using Hydro and Rust's type-system capabilities, distributed systems errors can be caught at compile time, even for agent-generated code. Attendees praised the talk.
