Cursor launches Computer Use, letting coding agents operate desktop apps and test their own work
XFreeze · x · 2026-10-24
Cursor's new Computer Use feature lets its coding agents interact with desktop applications, not just websites or code editors.
- Agents can click, type, and navigate across desktop apps, including tools like the iOS Simulator
- They can open and test the features they build by using the actual app
- Computer Use activates automatically when a task requires it, or manually via @-mentioning it in a prompt
A major step toward agents that build software, open it, and verify everything works without manual human steps.
