Xaira launches X-Automate to close the wet-lab bottleneck in AI for biology
BoWang87 · x · 2026-10-23
Xaira introduces X-Automate, bringing agentic AI and physical robotics into the lab. Bo Wang argues the biggest bottleneck in AI for biology is still the wet lab: models generate more ideas than labs can test, and many instruments still need a human to open drawers, load plates, or start runs. The system combines X-Scientist (interpreting screens and instruments), X-Bot (physical interaction), and mobile transport robots to connect protein production to experimental characterization.
