CIO survey: 56% of enterprises deployed AI with zero ROI tracking
BenBajarin · x · 2026-10-23
Analyst Ben Bajarin shares fresh CIO/CTO survey data: 56% (initially misstated as 54%) of surveyed enterprises deployed AI without any proper ROI tracking measures in place. Among those tracking properly, 67% see a return in some fashion.
Qual interviews show CIOs generally believe qualitatively that ROI exists but haven't built measurement yet, and almost universally intend to spend more on AI. Bajarin expects the picture to look very different within a year as workloads move into governed production.
