Baidu indexes English sites too: one indie's Baidu traffic is 2x Google's
gefei55 · x · 2026-10-23
An indie developer highlights an overlooked SEO fact: Baidu also indexes overseas websites in English and other languages. When Chinese users search English keywords with no matching Chinese results, Baidu shows foreign sites.
His analytics dashboard shows 195k visitors from Baidu — nearly double Google's 100k and well above Bing's 65.2k. For developers building sites for overseas audiences, Baidu is a free traffic channel worth optimizing for.
