- Korea University's nlpai-lab expanded its KURE retrieval model family with KURE-v3 and Sparse-base/nano, plus the recently released Reranker-base/nano (freshly retrained).
- Sentence Transformers maintainer tomaarsen notes KURE may be the first major open model suite supporting all 4 model types: dense, sparse, and multi-vector embeddings plus rerankers, for Korean and English.
- The new 1.1B-parameter KURE-v3 is notably strong on English retrieval too. Models range from 0.1B to 2B parameters, all open-sourced on Hugging Face.
