Aaroth · x · 2026-10-23
The 8th Symposium on Foundations of Responsible Computing (FORC 2027) will be held June 2–4, 2027 at Stanford University, with a call for papers now open. FORC is a forum for mathematical research applying theoretical CS, statistics, and economics to societal challenges.
Topics include fairness in machine learning (definitions, algorithms, trade-offs), formal approaches to privacy including differential privacy, computational social choice, fair division, mechanism design for social good, formal methods for explainability, bias in social networks, and AI Safety and Alignment. Mathematically rigorous work on less-studied areas like education, sustainability, housing, climate, and labor markets is also welcome. There are two submission cycles with early notification after the first, plus a highlights track via lightweight self-nomination.
