Running MiniMax H3 on 12GB VRAM: a Deep Space Nine skit puts the video model to the test
optimisoprimeo · reddit · 2026-10-23
A Reddit user used MiniMax H3 to create a Star Trek: Deep Space Nine skit about Nog joining Starfleet. With only 12GB of VRAM, they had to drop resolution significantly for usable speeds; H3's Latent Upscaling helps but is still 'meh' on some clips, and they plan to pass results through LTX 2.3/5 upscaling plus Topaz Video.
They like that H3 can build skits from just a few pictures and audio files — something LTX 2.3 couldn't handle for this idea.
