Jason D. Clinton, Anthropic's head of security, posted that things will "get a lot worse before they get better," urging security leaders to "never let a crisis go to waste" and ask their boards for help now — "not for ai, for the basics" — saying the industry needs to "hold on for 18 months."
The statement drew wide attention, with critics replying that security leaders "created this monster" and now want help cleaning it up.
