Industry brief roundup: Tesla and Nvidia will invest $830M and $1.97B respectively in Samsung Electro-Mechanics to expand next-gen substrate capacity for autonomous driving, humanoid robots and AI chips, with mass production in 2028. Unitree CEO Wang Xingxing said Unitree G1 has produced 10,000–20,000 units since May 2024, making it the best-selling humanoid robot. Musk said humanoids will become the world's largest industry, with Optimus external deliveries targeted once reliability issues are solved by end of next year, and Tesla aims for 5M vehicles/year by 2030 with batteries as the bottleneck.
