A Reddit user tested the newly spotted Gemini 4 Argon Developer tier on Atlas Cloud API ($1.2 in / $6 out per million tokens vs $2/$10 for regular Argon) by having both paint three impressionist oil paintings stroke by stroke in pure JavaScript. Developer cost $0.033–0.036 per painting vs $0.038–0.046, about a minute each. Argon drew better koi; Developer won the balloons outright (Argon turned them into fireworks); sunflowers were a toss-up.
