forked-mcp: Git-like checkpointing, forking and rewinding for agent state
Lie_Any · reddit · 2026-10-23
A Reddit share of the open-source forked-mcp project (clibequilibrium/forked): an MCP server that gives AI agents undo — checkpoint, fork and rewind agent state, backed by an effectively-once side-effect log so side effects never run twice no matter how often you retry. Billed as 'Git for agent state', it claims 1,000 forks in 1.4ms with zero state copied, built on a Rust core under Apache-2.0.
