Google Labs opens Dreambeans, an AI app that brews daily story picks from your connected apps
GoogleLabs · x · 2026-10-23
Google Labs has opened Dreambeans, an experimental AI app for US users 18+ on iOS and Android, with more regions to come.
- How it works: overnight, the app digests content across your connected Google apps, distills it into "beans" — a fresh collection of personalized stories each morning. No streaks, no doomscrolls; the pitch is nudging users off their phones
- Privacy: users can disconnect apps, review feedback history, or delete all data; settings don't affect Gemini Apps or AI Mode
- Misfires can be corrected via tuning or thumbs-down, but fixes apply to future drops after about a day
- Accompanied by a behind-the-lab video from VP of Product Brian R. on taking bets and exploring areas the industry overlooks
