AI players now compete with everyone — and the committed-spend contract becomes the real platform

Matt Turck observes that in AI, everyone is increasingly competing with everyone else: chip makers vs inference providers, inference providers vs neoclouds and post-training firms, models vs apps and chips, apps vs models — and NVIDIA sells to everyone.
krishnan adds the enterprise implication: lock-in has shifted. When chips, clouds, models and apps all chase the same dollar, the committed-spend contract becomes the real platform — whoever holds the drawdown decides which model gets tried first. As he puts it, "procurement just became architecture."
