OpenAI and the Independent Community Bankers of America (ICBA) announced a strategic alliance giving community banks access to frontier AI-powered cyber defenses via the Daybreak for Frontline Defenders program, plus training and technical support. It builds on ICBA's Secure and AI-Ready America Action Plan, which called for federal action on AI-enabled cyber risks to critical infrastructure. ICBA CEO Rebeca Romero Rainey and OpenAI's Sasha Baker both framed it as ensuring community banks 'have a seat at the table.'
