Founder on why he quit the status game: "never compete or you will not win"
gabriel1 · x · 2026-10-23
Founder gabriel1 explains why he chose the "honesty game": the "I care about status but pretend not to" game is highly complex, competitive, and hard to hillclimb—mostly genetics. So he invented his own game, honesty, with the rule: never compete or you will not win. Moving to SF and working 12h a day to build a trillion-dollar company requires more will than it being "a little funny."
