Late Interaction releases a short technical report on its late-interaction retrieval models
lateinteraction · x · 2026-10-23
The Late Interaction team released a technical report covering its released late-interaction retrieval models. Author antoinechaffin says the report is intentionally short and direct since much of the recipe isn't new — though the shared embedding space is 'pretty cool for ColBERT' — but it still contains plenty of technical detail, with more thorough papers on genuinely novel work on the way.
