Podium rebuilds to $150M AI ARR in 2.5 years — eight times faster than the first time
ycombinator · x · 2026-10-22
Podium founder Eric Rea announced the company has crossed $150M in AI annual recurring revenue — it took 2.5 years, versus 8 years to reach that scale the first time.
Three years ago Podium was already a strong software business with well over $100M in revenue and tens of thousands of customers, but the team bet that AI would make much of traditional software obsolete and decided to start over. Rea describes the hardest part as confronting the possibility that a decade of work might lose its value — and realizing those same 10 years of customer relationships and domain expertise became the foundation for the AI pivot.
