Taliri Chrome extension teaches languages by swapping words on pages you already read
theteknosaur · x · 2026-10-22
Indie developer theteknosaur built Taliri, a Chrome extension that swaps a few words on English pages you read into Spanish, French, German, Swedish or Hindi. After you've seen a word a few times it blurs it and gives a four-choice quiz; missed words return sooner and known words less often (spaced repetition). Everything runs locally — page text never leaves your device. It focuses on the 1,000 most common words, which cover about 78% of everyday English reading.
