Ben Todd, founder of 80,000 Hours, names the most prescient AI forecasters he knows: Carl Shulman, Daniel Kokotajlo (What 2026 looks like, AI 2027), Leopold Aschenbrenner (Situational Awareness), and Ryan Greenblatt (#2 in the 2025 forecasting competition). All four expect broadly beyond-human AI around 2028-2029, suggesting leading forecasters' AGI timelines are aggressively near-term and converging.
