- Ethem Coban, a Meta researcher who spent nearly two years training its models to reason through legal questions and reduce hallucinations (most recently at Meta Superintelligence Labs), left earlier this month to start a legal tech company.
- He has been in talks to raise $6 million at a $25 million valuation; talks are early and terms could change. The startup aims to help law firms and corporate legal teams.
- The legal AI market, led early by Harvey and Legora, is now pulling researchers out of the labs building the underlying models.
