Cohere Labs released CulturalRiddles, a new research project testing whether AI models can understand the cultural context behind human-written riddles from around the world — puzzles that require familiarity with a specific culture to solve. The team also launched a quiz version letting humans compete against models on cultural knowledge. Framed playfully as a "party game," it functions as a new benchmark for models' cultural understanding.
