Tencent has released Hunyuan-MT2 (Hy-MT2), an open-source machine translation model that weighs just 440MB and runs locally on mobile devices. It supports 33 languages including Spanish, works fully offline (even in airplane mode), keeps all text on-device, and requires no subscription. The repo is publicly available.
